Micah Mattix is a professor of English at Regent University and poetry editor at First Things. Previously, he was a senior editor at Spectator World and the literary editor at The American Conservative. He served as a contributing editor to The Weekly Standard until it closed in 2018. He edits the books and arts newsletter Prufrock and writes for a number of publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New Criterion, National Review, Humanities, and The Washington Examiner. Before joining the faculty at Regent, he taught at Yale and UNC at Chapel Hill.
